Western Illinois University has been ranked No. 15 in the Sporting News magazine's Football Championship Subdivision Top 25 poll, and is predicted to finish fourth in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Three league teams are ranked in the top 10 and five are ranked overall.

After a four-game sweep against Sioux City that ended Thursday, the Saltdogs lead the standings in the North Division of the American Association.

Pitching Coach Jim Haller said he can finally see the team working together.
